Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a safety and health-related field or equivalent experience
  • minimum of 2 years construction safety experience
  • proficiency in MS Office and company safety software
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to conduct safety inspections and audits
  • knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • ability to analyze safety trends and prepare reports
  • capability to lead safety meetings and committees
  • comfortable working autonomously and making decisions
  • ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • valid legal authorization to work in the United States.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a safety and health-related field (preferred)
  • relevant equivalent experience accepted
  • minimum 2 years of construction safety experience
  • strong knowledge of federal, state, local and company safety regulations
  • proficiency in MS Office
  • familiarity with company safety software and tools
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to identify hazardous conditions and implement corrective actions
  • effective interpersonal skills for building relationships and collaboration
  • proficiency in construction technology.

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine and complex construction projects
  • conduct regular walk-through inspections to ensure compliance with safety laws and company policies
  • perform safety audits by identifying, documenting, and recommending abatement of hazardous conditions
  • conduct project-specific new hire orientation and oversee drug and alcohol policy compliance
  • monitor safety programs of prime contractors and subcontractors
  • attend project-related meetings to discuss safety issues
  • lead safety meetings, committees, and chair the project safety committee
  • assist in the investigation of project-related accidents and perform root cause analysis
  • coordinate with injured employees and clinics for timely treatment and return-to-work processes
  • monitor site safety incentive programs
  • utilize safety management systems to perform trend analysis and identify safety trends
  • provide guidance and training on basic and intermediate safety topics
  • support safety leadership during insurance audits
  • oversee more complex projects including large or multiple projects.
