Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with FAA regulations and safety compliance
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to manage training programs and conduct safety audits
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts
  • Physical ability to handle work environment demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Commitment to safety and health policies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management and staff
  • Adaptability to exposure to environmental and operational hazards

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Skilled in analyzing business periodicals, FAA documentation, and government regulations
  • Effective presentation and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Proficient in basic algebra and geometry for calculation purposes
  • Sound problem-solving skills and adaptability to varied operational scenarios
  • Ability to interpret diverse instructional materials
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent attendance and ability to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility to work different shifts

Job Duties

  • Manages safety policies and procedures and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Ensures effective communication of safety systems at the local level
  • Conducts on-site safety inspections and audits
  • Leads investigation of accidents, injuries, and near misses and recommends corrective actions
  • Oversees reporting and analysis of accident data to identify trends and improve safety
  • Conducts HS&E and training inspections and audits
  • Prepares reports and communicates unsafe findings to relevant authorities
  • Assists corporate in reviewing compliance of equipment and purchasing plans
  • Conducts training needs assessments and manages action plans for HS&E and training issues
  • Conducts and evaluates training sessions for employees
  • Oversees Workers' Compensation program and liaises with insurance carriers
  • Provides reports on HS&E and training program achievements and challenges
  • Maintains employee training files and airline manuals
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints related to system maintenance
  • Coordinates with General Manager on facility maintenance and operational status
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures
  • Acts as point of contact for field personnel
  • Participates in audits and inspections by corporate or external parties
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
