Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Health and Safety, preferably in the sanitation industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local government health, safety, and compliance regulations including DOT and OSHA
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety applications
  • Ability to participate in special projects as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Relevant certifications such as CIP are a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Health and Safety, preferably in the sanitation industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local government health, safety, and compliance regulations including DOT and OSHA
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety applications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred

Job Duties

  • Foster a positive safety culture by demonstrating commitment to safety policies at all levels
  • Analyze safety performance data, provide recommendations, and drive necessary changes to improve safety standards
  • Create and communicate safety goals and benchmarks to employees and management
  • Manage the assignment, development, and training of safety supervisors
  • Collaborate with all organizational levels to implement safety procedures and practices effectively
  • Oversee safety functions in multi-site operations for designated market areas
  • Conduct incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
