Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three years aviation safety, FBO operations, or SMS experience
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • acceptable driving record
  • ability to pass background checks
  • adherence to zero tolerance drug free policy including pre-employment and random testing

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience in aviation safety, fixed base operations (FBO), or Safety Management System (SMS)
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to interpret and apply SMS principles and safety regulations
  • strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and safety management software
  • analytical ability to identify hazards and trends
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • bi-lingual abilities preferred

Job Duties

  • Implement, maintain, and oversee the Million Air Safety Management System (SMS), including hazard reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and safety promotion
  • maintain accurate document control across all safety-related manuals, procedures, and forms
  • ensure SOPs are reviewed and updated regularly
  • oversee Fuel Quality Control (QC) compliance and support locations in fuel safety procedures
  • maintain the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) including documentation, contact lists, drills, and training requirements
  • lead monthly safety meetings with all locations to review safety trends, REDTAGs, observations, and corrective actions
  • communicate safety concerns, network trends, and REDTAG notifications to Houston corporate leadership in a timely manner
  • develop, maintain, and oversee the company-wide Risk Management Plan, including risk assessments for operational activities
  • manage and support fatigue risk procedures to ensure compliance and employee well-being
  • conduct routine ramp safety surveillance, facility safety inspections, and follow up on corrective actions
  • prepare and deliver daily safety topics, toolbox briefings, and ongoing safety content
  • support SMS and safety-related training for new hires, supervisors, and location staff
  • disseminate safety information, alerts, lessons learned, and procedural updates throughout the Million Air network
