Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in safety management, construction management, or related area or CHST or OHST designation
  • Minimum of 5 years safety experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards CFR 1926, General Industry Standards CFR 1910 and other best management practices
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of typical construction processes
  • Strong background in use of technology
  • Computer skills using SharePoint and MS Office, including Excel and Power BI
  • Technical writing capabilities of developing policies and procedures for clients
  • Up to 25 percent travel required
  • Local to Seattle, WA or willing to permanently relocate to the area

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in safety management, construction management, or related area, or CHST or OHST designation
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in safety management
  • Knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards CFR 1926 and General Industry Standards CFR 1910
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with typical construction processes
  • Proficient with technology, including SharePoint, MS Office, Excel, and Power BI
  • Excellent technical writing skills for policy development
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent
  • Residency in or willingness to relocate to Seattle, WA

Job Duties

  • Perform a gap analysis of the client's safety program to identify safety needs
  • Work with clients to develop processes and procedures aimed at achieving zero accidents
  • Routinely inspect projects to identify and abate potential hazards in construction and general industry
  • Develop and conduct training programs for safety policies and procedures
  • Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
  • Write project-specific safety plans and job hazard analyses as required
  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accident reports and investigations
  • Act as an advocate for clients promoting safety as a core organizational value
