Job Requirements

  • OSHA 30 certification in General Industry and Construction
  • CPR, First-aid, AED certifications
  • HAZWOPER 40HR certification
  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Ten years of experience in safety management
  • Three years of supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Job Duties

  • Develop, organize, implement, and evaluate occupational, health/safety, and construction safety programs
  • Ensure compliance with ADA and relevant laws
  • Develop and manage safety training plans
  • Supervise ongoing safety trainings
  • Design and update program elements and safety manuals
  • Provide safety equipment as needed
  • Review construction project safety requirements
  • Coordinate with the Safety Steering Team
  • Investigate workplace injuries and incidents
  • Determine causal factors and remedial actions
  • Advise supervisors and departments on liabilities
  • Take corrective compliance actions
  • Manage employee insurance claims and loss control
  • Conduct facility safety inspections
  • Ensure public safety at events and in public areas
  • Manage Safety Program budget and reporting
  • Align performance reviews and job descriptions with safety goals
  • Monitor continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
