- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety/health, construction management or related field
- relevant experience considered in lieu of degree
- 8+ years construction safety experience
- 0-2 years team lead or management experience
- valid and unrestricted driver's license

- knowledge of federal, state, local and company safety regulations

- knowledge of testing protocols for environmental hazards, noise and contaminants
- intermediate proficiency in construction technology
Job Duties
- Manages and implements the field safety program and team for construction projects
- communicates safety philosophies and values with safety team members and project staff to ensure compliance
- acts as a resource for interpreting safety policies and recommendations
- compiles accident statistics and recommends changes to safety programs
- administers and monitors drug and alcohol testing programs
- implements accident and incident reporting protocols
- assists in accident investigations ensuring proper documentation and abatement
- collaborates with insurance contacts for safety claims and monitors medical treatment for injured employees
- conducts regular safety audits and follows up on hazard abatement
- develops and implements training strategies and programs
- leads and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion within the company
