Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in occupational safety and health management
- CSP and/or ASP certification preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Knowledge of EHS regulations
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Smartsheet and Google Suite expertise
- Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, and integrity
- Highly analytical and detail oriented
- Ability to follow instructions and follow through
- Occasional travel required
- Valid California driver’s license with continuous vehicle insurance
- Regular and frequent vehicle operation as essential job duty
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in occupational safety and health management, program development and implementation
- Knowledge of EHS regulations including Cal OSHA, Fed OSHA, NFPA, and federal, state and local regulations
- CSP and/or ASP certification preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Multilingual ability a plus
- Smartsheet expertise
- Google Suite proficiency
- Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, positive attitude, and integrity
- Highly analytical and detail oriented
- Ability to follow instructions and have good follow-through on projects
- Valid California driver’s license
Job Duties
- Support operations to ensure associate safety and minimize injuries
- Monitor training compliance and ensure all safety training occurs
- Develop proactive processes, procedures, systems, tools and metrics to drive continuous improvement and prevent future injuries
- Lead the development of risk mitigation tools such as accident prevention plans, safe operating procedures, job safety analysis (JSA), and monthly safety meetings
- Perform onsite accident investigations and inspections, providing analysis and corrective action
- Conduct site safety walks quarterly to identify hazards and noncompliant conditions
- Partner with engineering and design teams to resolve hazards
- Lead fire risk engineering inspections and coordinate follow ups
- Act as business continuity lead including event response, plan management and committee participation
- Attend monthly meetings and project manage safety activities such as fire drills
- Provide associate support and technical expertise on safety issues and regulations
- Ensure compliance of fire and life safety systems and manage related reports
- Create and maintain incident response plans
- Develop safe equipment operating techniques and monitor knowledge
- Research and promote personal protective equipment
- Stay current with OSHA and related safety subject matter
- Collaborate with Corporate Risk to assess and mitigate safety concerns
