Job Requirements
- Ability to perform duties outside and in extreme temperatures and inclement weather
- Requires frequent walking
- Requires stretching, bending, and climbing
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends to support customer or operational requirements
Job Qualifications
- Possess a BS or BA in Safety Management or a similar aviation field of study
- At least three years prior experience in the same or like position
- Certification in risk management and safety/health management is a plus
- FAA A&P License is a plus
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Safety Management System for a Part 145 Repair Station
- Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices
- Promote the Just Culture and open reporting system
- Identify, evaluate, and improve occupational safety, health, environmental and hazardous conditions and practices
- Conduct specialized safety and environmental training programs
- Investigate work-related accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Direct environmental compliance programs related to hazardous wastes, air permitting, and water pollution control
