Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in occupational health and safety program implementation
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to conduct investigations and evaluations
  • Proficiency in training and delivering presentations
  • Willingness to travel 5%-10%
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to conduct investigations and evaluate risks and costs
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, rules and regulations
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel 5%-10%
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external business partners

Job Duties

  • Ensure company facilities comply with OSHA and federal state standards through facility inspections
  • Ensure unit compliance with safety and workers compensation procedures
  • Develop and maintain ongoing safety awareness programs
  • Comply with client administrative and incident investigation programs
  • Assist in developing loss prevention and control programs
  • Provide safety training to management via presentations and materials
  • Deliver monthly safety status reports to local management
  • Follow OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations and company policies
  • Conduct workplace hazard inspections and take corrective action
  • Participate in resolving safety issues
  • Analyze injury data and recommend hazard elimination
  • Train management in investigation, inspection, compliance and emergency procedures
  • Conduct safety inspections and walk-throughs at local facilities
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and prepare regular reports
  • Monitor workers compensation claim trends and develop injury management strategies
  • Coordinate return to work programs for injured employees
