Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in safety management
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
  • Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in safety management preferably in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required
  • CSP or ASP certification preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other safety standards
  • Proven ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement site-specific safety programs and procedures according to OSHA regulations and company policies
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions
  • Provide safety training and education to employees, including new hire orientation and emergency response
  • Maintain accurate records of safety activities including inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with management, operations teams, and human resources to promote a strong safety culture
  • Manage emergency preparedness plans including fire drills and evacuation procedures
