Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in occupational health and safety
  • Ability and willingness to travel 5%-10%
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to conduct safety investigations
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations
  • Ability to develop and implement safety training programs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in implementing occupational health and safety programs
  • Ability to conduct investigations and evaluate cost and risk factors
  • Ability to interpret and apply safety laws, rules, and regulations
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Ability to work well with internal and external business partners

Job Duties

  • Ensure company facilities comply with OSHA and other state and federal safety standards through facility inspections
  • Maintain compliance with safety and workers compensation procedures
  • Develop and administer effective loss prevention and control programs
  • Provide training to managers and employees on safe work practices and safety regulations
  • Conduct safety inspections and walk-through visits to identify hazards
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and prepare safety reports
  • Monitor and report on workers' compensation claim trends and coordinate return-to-work programs
