Job Requirements

  • BS or BA in safety, engineering or related field
  • 6+ years experience in manufacturing leading and improving safety performance and regulatory compliance
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) status preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management and employees
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local safety and health regulations
  • Experience in incident investigation and hazard analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement safety programs
  • Ability to manage and develop a team

Job Qualifications

  • BS or BA in safety, engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing leading and improving safety performance and regulatory compliance
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) status preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver results and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Excellent judgment and professional diplomacy
  • Experience developing and maintaining best-in-class Health and Safety programs

Job Duties

  • Lead a team of talented colleagues and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one-on-one conversations
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs, policies and procedures
  • Support incident investigations
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local government safety codes and regulations
  • Partner with corporate health and safety in the implementation of identified critical health and safety initiatives
  • Establish and maintain procedures to ensure that only safe tools, equipment and supplies are purchased for brewery use
  • Provide advisory and consultative services to brewery personnel
  • Conduct analysis of hazards, safety statistics and recommend corrective measures and plan modifications
  • Drive the health and safety management programs and elements
  • Conduct and complete capital project reports for health and safety and develop recommendations that meet or exceed local regulatory and company standards
  • Monitor changes in federal, state and local safety and health codes and communicate such changes to brewery management
  • Consult and support brewery on safety culture process
  • Coordinate all safety regulatory compliance requirements
  • Lead team performance, talent and career management and create a culture of employee engagement
