Job Requirements

  • associate degree
  • 5-7 years of safety management experience
  • valid driver's license
  • clean driving record
  • legally eligible to work in the US
  • ability to travel regionally and nationally occasionally for extended periods
  • ability to pass pre-employment testing
  • physical ability to handle objects 50-75 lbs frequently
  • ability to walk stand climb and work under different weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • valid driver's license
  • clean driving record
  • legally eligible to work in the US
  • excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • ability to develop implement and train employees in safe workplace practices
  • strong commitment to workplace safety
  • basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • online research skills
  • demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment
  • bachelor’s degree and experience or interest in environmental or sustainability field preferred

Job Duties

  • acts as a safety resource to local regional and corporate employees and managers
  • performs internal inspections audits and reports results to the management team
  • coordinates and presents safety training for all Casella personnel at all levels within Casella
  • investigates and assists local managers and supervisors with accident and injuries
  • prepares and files all injury and incident reports and tracks claims to ensure proper procedures occur
  • collaborates with an adjuster to ensure proper management and closure of accident claims
  • maintains regulatory documentation and performs job safety analysis
