Job Qualifications
- Proven success as a Safety Engineer
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations including 29 CFR 1926 and 1910
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities
- Experience in conducting safety training sessions
- Ability to investigate and report incidents effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety
- Ability to maintain detailed safety records
- Understanding of federal, state, and local safety regulatory requirements
Job Duties
- Conduct weekly project safety training meetings
- Supervise safety, first aid, and rescue activities administration
- Perform incident investigation and reporting
- Ensure compliance with 29 CFR 1926 and 1910 OSHA standards and other federal, state, and local regulations
- Develop and conduct safety training for projects
- Provide mentorship and development to assigned Safety Engineers
- Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and corrective measures
- Advise Senior Safety Manager on safety compliance and preventions
- Coordinate with regional Safety personnel on updates, awards, and incidents
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and employees to promote safety culture
- Maintain safety files and records
- Conduct oneself according to company Guiding Principles and the Way We Work
- Perform other duties as assigned
