Job Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
- 3-5 years or more safety role experience in fulfillment center or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to values including safety, integrity, passion, courage, community, and innovation
- Ability to engage with team members at all levels and promote a strong safety culture
- Organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Hazmat, and other applicable safety standards
- Experience with safety technology and monitoring systems
- Strong communication skills, fluent in English
- Physical ability to move for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds unassisted
Job Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
- 3-5 years or more in a safety role within a fulfillment center or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, hazardous materials, and relevant safety regulations
- Experience with safety technology including apps and security camera systems
- Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal
- Proven ability to influence and lead teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
Job Duties
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation
- Promote and enforce safe lifting practices including ergonomics training
- Conduct safety inspections, prepare reports, and recommend corrective measures
- Lead team member engagement in safety initiatives, emergency response, and first-aid efforts
- Develop, maintain, and track countermeasure items from incident investigations and continuous improvement efforts
- Monitor and collaborate with HR on workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work strategies
- Support occupational health and safety education and training programs
- Maintain safety training records and recommend improvements
- Implement and sustain Behavioral-Based Safety programs
- Maintain safety KPI dashboard and report metrics to leadership
- Act as liaison with external regulatory agencies ensuring compliance
