Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Five plus years of experience in a related transportation industry
- One year accident and injury free driving experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills

Job Duties
- Ensure all safety manuals, programs, policies and practices are current and meet division needs
- Serve as expert in EPA and OSHA, CDL compliance and regulations
- Ensure all new hires meet minimum qualifications including background and DMV checks
- Utilize safety technology tools to analyze results, identify trends and develop prevention plans
- Oversee corporate safety incentives and programs, including assignment of safety points
- Promote a consistent safety culture integrating operations, safety, and maintenance departments
- Manage successful completion of audits by corporate, client, and regulatory agencies
- Lead safety training programs covering vehicle operation, defensive driving, passenger handling, emergency procedures, communications, and sensitivity
- Review all vehicular, passenger and employee incidents for cause and prevention
- Provide expertise in hiring safety department exempt employees
- Maintain and update project training materials and supplies
