Job Duties
- Ensure all safety manuals, programs, policies and practices are current and meet operating division needs
- Serve as expert in EPA, OSHA, CDL compliance and regulations
- Ensure new hires meet minimum qualifications including background and DMV checks
- Use safety technology tools, analyze data trends and develop plans to prevent safety incidents
- Oversee corporate safety incentives and programs including assignment of safety points
- Promote a consistent safety culture across locations emphasizing team approach and individual responsibility
- Lead division safety training including classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction according to specifications
- Review vehicular, passenger and employee accidents for cause and preventability and identify training trends
- Provide expertise in hiring safety department exempt employees
- Maintain up-to-date training materials and secure necessary supplies and inventories
