Job Duties

  • Ensure all safety manuals, programs, policies and practices are current and meet operating division needs
  • Serve as expert in EPA, OSHA, CDL compliance and regulations
  • Ensure new hires meet minimum qualifications including background and DMV checks
  • Use safety technology tools, analyze data trends and develop plans to prevent safety incidents
  • Oversee corporate safety incentives and programs including assignment of safety points
  • Promote a consistent safety culture across locations emphasizing team approach and individual responsibility
  • Lead division safety training including classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction according to specifications
  • Review vehicular, passenger and employee accidents for cause and preventability and identify training trends
  • Provide expertise in hiring safety department exempt employees
  • Maintain up-to-date training materials and secure necessary supplies and inventories
