Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety or a related field
  • at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role managing safety programs
  • strong knowledge of osha standards and regulations
  • exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • ability to design and implement effective safety programs
  • detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement

Job Qualifications

  • preferred certifications: osha 30-hour certification, certified safety professional (csp), associate safety professional (asp), first aid/cpr certification

Job Duties

  • lead and maintain ready foods' safety and health programs to ensure full osha compliance
  • drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen our safety culture
  • oversee osha regulatory and site-specific safety training requirements
  • develop, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and programs
  • identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions promptly
  • monitor, track, and report safety metrics and trends
  • facilitate monthly safety committee meetings and develop committee members
  • deliver engaging safety training and provide guidance on policies and procedures
  • partner with plant manager to evaluate work practices and ensure safe, compliant conditions
  • collaborate with leadership to embed safety into daily operations
  • assist in creating annual safety training materials and incident-related corrective training
