Job Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED
- related experience in the management of an occupational safety program
- valid driver’s license

- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred

Job Duties
- Inspect all working areas and equipment regularly to identify opportunities for improving the safety of employees and the public
- plan, develop, and conduct safety training and award/recognition programs for employees, with particular attention to those in positions of higher risk
- maintain and analyze records of safety activities, accidents, and incidents
- investigate accidents and incidents and report findings to supervisor and to Third Party Administrator
- report to police and other agencies as directed by supervisor and company policy
- represent company in hearings, dispositions, and trial as directed
- recommend and press for safety improvements in equipment and working conditions and practices
- represent the company with governmental agencies and other organizations in cooperation with public and employee safety
- perform other duties as assigned
