Job Requirements

  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED
  • related experience in the management of an occupational safety program
  • valid driver’s license

Job Qualifications

  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred
  • related experience in the management of an occupational safety program
  • valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Inspect all working areas and equipment regularly to identify opportunities for improving the safety of employees and the public
  • plan, develop, and conduct safety training and award/recognition programs for employees, with particular attention to those in positions of higher risk
  • maintain and analyze records of safety activities, accidents, and incidents
  • investigate accidents and incidents and report findings to supervisor and to Third Party Administrator
  • report to police and other agencies as directed by supervisor and company policy
  • represent company in hearings, dispositions, and trial as directed
  • recommend and press for safety improvements in equipment and working conditions and practices
  • represent the company with governmental agencies and other organizations in cooperation with public and employee safety
  • perform other duties as assigned
