Job Requirements

  • college degree
  • minimum 5 years safety experience
  • minimum 5 years experience in driver safety programs
  • strong public speaking skills
  • intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • prior supervisory experience
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • dependable and trustworthy character
  • willingness to travel 50 percent

Job Duties

  • knowledge of safety regulations and standards relevant to the industrial service industry such as DOT and OSHA
  • experience working in a geographically diverse service company
  • assist with onboarding new employees
  • conduct prescribed health and safety training for technicians and management
  • assist Stake Center Locating training team in maintaining training records
  • effectively communicate company policies and procedures
  • create, review, and update current health and safety policies and procedures
  • maintain internal and external database reporting
  • track key performance indicators for the safety program
  • conduct incident and accident investigations
  • conduct root cause analysis with appropriate corrective and preventative action
  • assist risk management in coordination of care and immediate responses to incidents and injuries
  • conduct field safety audits
  • conduct ride-along auditing to improve and reinforce Stake Center Locating safe drivers program
  • conduct partnered audits with local management
  • track and monitor at-risk behaviors associated with Stake Center Locating fleet policy
  • conduct monthly customer service and quality audits
  • assist in utility damage investigations quarterly
  • conduct quarterly interviews
  • create and distribute monthly reports
  • compile data reports to identify trends
  • order and distribute PPE monthly
