Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health, or related field
- recognized safety certification such as CHST, ASP, or CSP
- OSHA 500 trainer certification preferred
- completion of NYC SST 62hr Supervisor Training
- extensive knowledge of OSHA construction standards
- familiarity with NYC Construction Codes Chapter 33
- knowledge of NYC DEP hazmat, sound and dust control regulations
- knowledge of FDNY fire safety codes and regulations
- experience as a construction site fire safety manager preferred
- strong safety evaluation and loss control skills
- proven ability to analyze accident trends
- skills in developing and delivering safety training
- proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- excellent presentation skills
- strong organizational and leadership capabilities
- valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of science in safety, environmental health, or equivalent experience
- recognized credentials like CHST, ASP, CSP or equivalent work history and education
- OSHA 500 trainer certification preferred

- thorough knowledge of OSHA construction regulations
- strong knowledge of NYC Construction Codes Chapter 33
- strong knowledge of NYC DEP regulations including hazmat, sound, and dust control
- strong familiarity with FDNY codes and regulations
- preferred construction site fire safety manager experience
- ability to evaluate construction activities for safety and loss control
- capable of analyzing company safety trends
- effective at recognizing training needs and developing safety training
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Windows
- strong presentation skills
- excellent organizational and management abilities
- demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
- valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Perform all duties of Safety Manager and Senior Safety Manager
- provide training and education programs to company personnel
- organize pre-job safety planning meetings to identify potential hazards
- inspect jobsites to ensure EH&S program and OSHA/EPA compliance
- develop emergency response plans for projects
- arrange basic first aid training for jobsite personnel
- investigate and analyze workplace accidents including root cause analysis
- coordinate EH&S programs with subcontractors
- update employees regarding EH&S requirements and changes
- act as liaison with regulatory agencies for conflict resolution
- perform environmental and health testing and sampling
- conduct and document field audits and service visits
- coordinate and conduct root cause analysis on incidents
- assist project teams with subcontractor compliance
- complete other assigned responsibilities
