Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health, or related field
  • 5-10 years experience in manufacturing, preferably in FDA regulated production
  • strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to travel 5-10 percent
  • strong collaboration and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health, or related field
  • CSP, ASP or other credentials preferred
  • 5-10 years experience in manufacturing preferred focus on FDA regulated production
  • strong analytical and investigative skills

  • willing to travel 5-10 percent

Job Duties

  • Develop and improve safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • standardize protocols across facilities
  • conduct risk assessments and audits
  • recruit, train, and lead staff related to safety
  • set performance metrics and drive accountability
  • promote a collaborative, results-driven culture
  • ensure adherence to OSHA, FDA, USDA, EPA and other regulations
  • investigate incidents and develop corrective actions and implement preventive measures
  • report safety data to leadership
  • support site-specific safety training
  • promote proactive hazard identification and safe behaviors
  • lead safety committees and improvement initiatives
  • develop site-specific emergency plans
  • support and participate in site specific drills and crisis training
