Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health, or related field
  • 5-10 years experience in manufacturing preferred focus on FDA regulated production
  • strong analytical and investigative skills
  • knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • excellent communication and presentation skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willing to travel up to 10%

Job Qualifications

  • csp, asp or other credentials preferred
  • 5-10 years experience in manufacturing preferred focus on FDA regulated production
  • strong analytical and investigative skills
  • knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • excellent communication and presentation skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willing to travel up to 10%
  • strong collaboration skills

Job Duties

  • develop and improve safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • standardize protocols across facilities
  • conduct risk assessments and audits
  • recruit, train, and lead regional safety staff
  • set performance metrics and drive accountability
  • ensure adherence to OSHA, FDA, USDA, EPA and other regulations
  • investigate incidents and develop corrective actions
  • support site-specific safety training
  • promote proactive hazard identification and safe behaviors
  • lead safety committees and improvement initiatives
  • develop site-specific emergency plans
  • support and participate in site specific drills and crisis training
