Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of direct construction safety experience
- General Contractor experience preferred
- OSHA 510 and/or 500 certification preferred
- Ability to conduct site inspections
- Strong knowledge of OSHA compliance
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage safety programs and report metrics
- Physical ability to perform on-site tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred
- 5+ years of direct construction safety experience, preferred
- General Contractor experience, preferred
- OSHA 510 and/or 500 certification a plus
- CHST or CSP certification preferred
- Thorough understanding of all relevant safety rules and regulations
- Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards
- Exceptional leadership skills with ability to motivate employees
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coach and train others
Job Duties
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards
- Organize and lead safety training sessions for construction staff
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future
- Assist coordinators in document control and development
- Oversee all aspects of a construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
- Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
- Update corporate and site specific EHS dashboards
- Oversee all EHS metrics and send out routine reports
