Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in EHS field
- Strong understanding of local state and federal EHS regulations
- Ability to interpret technical guidelines and standards
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems
- Willingness to travel to regional sites
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health safety or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in environmental health and safety management
- Strong knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations
- Experience with NAVSEA standards preferred
- Proven ability to conduct OSHA inspections and prepare for compliance audits
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in data analysis and trend identification
- Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Skilled in problem-solving and corrective action planning
Job Duties
- Ensure collection of samples and measurements of potentially hazardous materials and coordinate removal of physical biological and chemical hazards
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and maintain necessary records
- Participate in Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspections providing inspectors with documents and identifying safety measures
- Assist workers compensation team with claims documentation legal proceedings and communication
- Maintain knowledge of standard concepts practices and procedures within the company
- Conduct routine analysis of trend data and create solutions to prevent employee injuries fires or hazardous materials incidents
- Maintain employee line of balance for respective area and work with regional Business Unit Leader to ensure staff readiness for projects
- Participate in problem solving to address CAR ICAR ESHOR items and generate corrective action plans
- Manage new-hire orientation and training programs in respective areas
- Facilitate and maintain complex spreadsheets or systems for reporting
- Identify trends and develop corrective actions regarding PPE Falls Strains Housekeeping Injuries
- Provide technical and leadership support to ESH Supervisors Technicians production teams and corporate personnel
- Assist in developing corporate safety and health programs trainings and objectives
- Coordinate safety training according to program
- Conduct frequent visits to each region for ongoing training development production inspections and compliance
- Perform other related duties as assigned
