Job Requirements
- Minimum five years experience in transportation safety management
- Valid driver's license with at least one year accident and injury free driving history
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills
- Proven track record of excellent attendance
- Experience with safety compliance and regulatory agencies
- Ability to instruct and lead training sessions
- Proficiency in using safety technology tools
- Background checks and DMV verification compliance
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment drug testing as applicable
Job Qualifications
- Five plus years of current experience in related transportation industry
- One year accident and injury free driving experience
- Able to work in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Possess leadership abilities

- Extended transportation experience
- Experience teaching, instructing or public speaking
- Computer experience
Job Duties
- Ensure all safety manuals, programs, policies and practices are current and meet needs of operating divisions
- Reside as expert in EPA, OSHA, CDL compliance and regulations
- Ensure all new hires meet minimum general qualifications including background and DMV checks
- Ensure safety technology tools are used and results examined, trend data analyzed and plans developed to reduce and prevent incidents
- Oversee Corporate Safety Incentives and program management including assignment of Safety Points
- Promote consistent Safety Culture incorporating operations, safety and maintenance departments emphasizing teamwork and individual responsibility
- Oversee successful completion of all audits by corporate, client, state and federal agencies
- Lead safety organization in classroom and behind the wheel instruction covering all aspects of vehicle operation and passenger transportation
- Review accident and incident reports for cause, preventability and trend identification
- Provide expertise in safety hiring for exempt employees
- Maintain project training materials and supplies inventory
