Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in safety-related discipline preferred
  • 10+ years of heavy highway construction safety management experience
  • 2+ years of aggregate safety training
  • strong prioritization and organizational skills
  • strong leadership skills
  • intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • capable, licensed, and approved to drive a company vehicle
  • able to climb ladders and scaffolding and walk on uneven surfaces

Job Duties

  • Maintain worker's compensation case management
  • maintain risk/loss and safety assessments
  • conduct meetings with the operations team and client to report or review findings on accidents, injuries, and preventive measures
  • manage and implement on-the-job drug and alcohol program
  • coordinate DOT program and work with state DOT department
