Job Requirements

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with School Bus and Passenger endorsements
  • certified school bus driver trainer
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • knowledge of safety regulations such as FMCSA, DOT, OSHA
  • proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office
  • valid Texas driver's license with insurance
  • ability to lift 15 to 44 pounds
  • flexibility for irregular hours and travel
  • emotional control under stress
  • ability to use office equipment and vehicles

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in school transportation safety or driver training
  • certification as a school bus driver trainer
  • valid Class B CDL with School Bus and Passenger endorsements
  • proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of transportation safety regulations
  • effective communication and instructional skills

Job Duties

  • Conduct regular safety inspections of buses and vehicles to ensure compliance
  • ensure adherence to FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and state regulations
  • investigate accidents and prepare reports
  • serve as lead instructor for state-mandated safety training programs
  • monitor driver performance and address unsafe behaviors
  • review and update safety policies and emergency protocols
  • develop and deliver safety training for transportation staff
