Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing plants
  • Minimum 3-5 years of increasing supervisory roles managing people and processes
  • Knowledge of technical and safety programs for workplace hazard reduction
  • Familiarity with worker safety regulations in manufacturing
  • Ability to evaluate and control various workplace hazards including physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic
  • Experience interacting with government officials
  • Food or beverage manufacturing experience
  • Proficiency in behavioral safety programs
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to develop and support employees based on individual strengths

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing plants
  • Licensed Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in people and process management
  • Knowledge of workplace hazard reduction programs and technical safety practices
  • Understanding of worker safety regulations related to manufacturing
  • Experience anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic hazards
  • Ability to interact with government officials
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing
  • Experience with behavioral safety practices
  • Strong communication skills with diverse groups
  • Problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking abilities
  • Empathy and employee development skills

Job Duties

  • Facilitate risk assessment processes including FMEA and health and safety risks
  • Conduct or respond to health and safety assessments in the plant to minimize risks
  • Design and deliver health, safety, and security training modules for new hires, contractors, and management
  • Support implementation, evaluation, and certification of ISO45000 and OSHA VPP programs
  • Maintain medical response and emergency response programs
  • Coordinate and communicate audit findings to management and ensure corrective actions
  • Review safety and security results regularly with plant personnel to optimize performance
