Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 5 years in construction industry with focus on safety health or environmental protection
- able to identify hazards assess risk and recommend corrective actions in real time
- strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- able to work in active construction sites including outdoor environments with varying weather
- able to lift up to 40 pounds
- able to enter confined spaces
- strong communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety health or environmental protection
- experience in electrical construction industry preferred
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- strong interpersonal skills
- proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- familiarity with energized electrical work and related safety procedures
- knowledge of confined space and trenching safety
- knowledge of National Electrical Codes preferred
Job Duties
- Conducts regular safety training including job-specific safety meetings and toolbox talks
- performs daily jobsite visits to identify and mitigate hazards
- ensures employees work safely and do not create risks
- documents site visits including hazards and corrective actions
- collaborates with safety leadership and project teams to enforce safety expectations
- maintains current knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards
- assists in reviewing and updating company safety policies
- develops and implements site-specific safety programs
- enforces company safety policies through training and monitoring
- assists with safety incentive program development
- investigates incidents and near misses to determine root causes
- prepares detailed incident reports
- maintains accurate OSHA records
- performs other duties as assigned
