Job Requirements
- Associate or four-year college degree highly preferred
- one year safety and construction experience
- certifications including OSHA 30 in Construction and First Aid/CPR certificate
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- proficient with Microsoft Office
- ability to effectively communicate and conduct trainings
- knowledge of company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards
- some travel required (30 to 50 percent)
- bilingual in Spanish highly preferred

Job Duties
- Ensures daily calendar is up to date
- conducts daily safety meetings
- attends bi-weekly all hands meetings
- conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee and employer compliance with safety regulations
- investigates incidents to discover root cause and works with a safety manager when necessary
- prepares new or updated Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans
- prepares and enforces policies to establish a culture of safety
- learns and uses software and systems to report, monitor, and correct safety problems
- prepares and schedules training on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics
- participates in continuous improvement initiatives
- collaborates with OSHA representatives and internal safety staff during audits and inspections
- documents corrective actions taken
- completes monthly vehicle inspection reports
- completes OSHA Academy courses and Safety Spanish courses if applicable
- performs other related duties as assigned
