Job Requirements
- Five years work experience in construction safety
- First Aid/CPR certification
- OSHA 30 or 500 certification
- EM 385 1-1 certification
- computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- CCHST or BCSP certifications
- competent person certification in fall protection, confined space, excavation, scaffolding
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks
- knowledge of safety and health laws, OSHA standards and EM 385 1-1
- flexible working hours
- valid driver's license
- willing to travel
- ability to pass security background screening for access to federal military bases
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Implement and administer project Accident Prevention Plan and applicable safety standards
- assist in controlling hazardous working conditions through collaboration with project management and subcontractors
- conduct safety indoctrination for new workers and subcontractors
- conduct visitor briefings and ensure availability of PPE
- communicate and collaborate daily with project management and subcontractors
- conduct daily safety inspections focusing on continuous improvement and best practices
- investigate injury and property damage incidents to identify causes and lessons learned
- develop Activity Hazard Analysis for specified work activities
- conduct weekly safety meetings on relevant safety topics
- issue safety violations as warranted
- participate in emergency planning and evaluation
- ensure safety equipment and PPE are in good condition
- maintain Safety Data Sheets for on-site products
- ensure job site safety postings are current
- maintain professional certifications and stay updated on safety laws and standards
- pursue continued education in safety
- provide additional training on job sites when needed
- encourage participation in safety programs
- maintain safety and health records and documents
- maintain Employee Safety Certification database
- perform additional assignments as needed
