Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- preferred two years experience in security, law enforcement, or armed forces
- valid Class C Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
- permanent residency within specified Pennsylvania counties
- ability to obtain ACT 235 certification within one year
- ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- ability to perform moderately heavy labor
- must be able to comply with all legal requirements
- availability to work all three shifts, weekends, and holidays
- must pass physical examination and drug screening
- successful completion of background investigation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- preferred two years experience in security, law enforcement, or armed forces
- knowledge of large-scale security policies and procedures
- working knowledge of security best practices and local law
- basic technology skills including security and surveillance systems
- ability to maintain CPR/First Aid certification
- good communication skills
- sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
- ability to work with employees, contractors, and vendors at all levels
- ethical and reliable
Job Duties
- Enforce regulations designed to prevent breaches of security
- exercise judgment and use discretion in first response tactics
- perform routine checks of offices, laboratories, corridors, parking lots, storage sites
- ensure safety and protection of personnel and property against injury, loss, or damage
- open, close, and secure windows, doors, vaults, cabinets, and security doors
- oversee visitor management including verification, badge assignment, and screening
- respond to emergency situations such as fire, intrusion, threats, and civil disturbances
- comply with procedures for lost and found articles
- assist with traffic operations to control flow at facilities
- conduct rover foot and motorized patrols
- document reports of crime, violations, or incidents
- provide emergency first aid and escorts
- assist with emergency evacuations
- manage vehicle checkpoints and inspections
- comply with legal requirements
- perform other related duties as assigned
