Job Requirements
- Must be able to pass all necessary employment testing including background check
- Must pass drug screening
- Certified copy of DMV record in good standing
- Ability to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk management
- Ability to conduct training and audits
- Commitment to safety and compliance
- Ability to communicate clearly and build relationships
- Must adhere to company substance misuse policy
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in aviation ramp or cargo operations
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word programs
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Ability to learn quickly and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to drive safety vans and trucks
Job Duties
- Support corporate compliance with applicable Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations
- Support employees and supervisors in undertaking protective and preventative measures to comply with health and safety legislation
- Complete full investigations and reporting compliance for senior management and report breaches of statutory requirements or company best practices
- Participate in daily safety audits and provide corrective action assistance to management
- Conduct risk assessments, accident investigations, and health and safety inspections as required
- Provide new hire and annual recurrent training for all station personnel
- Manage health, safety, and environmental systems for Menzies F9 account approved by senior management
- Ensure communication and implementation of HSE programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance
- Assist operations in performing risk assessments and developing local safety policies
- Monitor and report safety, security, and environmental KPIs
- Conduct on-site HSE inspections and audits
- Prepare reports and communicate unsafe findings with corrective action details
- Ensure approved corrective actions are communicated to base employees
