Job Requirements

  • one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience
  • ability to administer and evaluate occupational safety, health and environmental protection programs
  • experience in directing personnel and organizational functions in occupational health and safety and environmental protection
  • capability to provide professional consultation throughout a command or large organization
  • knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations

Job Duties

  • Administers, directs, evaluates, implements, organizes and plans the overall comprehensive Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Programs
  • responsible for the direction of the work of the office
  • provides technical and administrative direction of all personnel and functions within the Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Protection Agency organization
  • provides consultation, professional assistance and authoritative information throughout the command
  • serves as the Commanding Officer's Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Manager
  • ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standards
  • fosters a culture of workplace safety and environmental responsibility
