Job Requirements
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12
- Experience in occupational safety and environmental program management
- Ability to lead and direct technical and administrative staff
- Proven consultation skills in occupational health and safety
- Compliance with federal safety and environmental standards
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- No mandatory education requirement
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-12 grade level
- Experience administering occupational safety and environmental protection programs
- Ability to provide technical and administrative supervision
- Proven experience as a consultant for occupational health and safety matters
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills for liaising with command and staff
- Knowledge of federal safety and environmental regulations
Job Duties
- Administer and direct comprehensive occupational safety, health and environmental protection programs
- Evaluate and plan overall occupational safety and environmental initiatives
- Organize activities and resources within the Occupational Safety and Health Office
- Provide technical and administrative direction to personnel within the safety and environmental protection functions
- Serve as the primary consultant and professional advisor for the Commanding Officer on safety, health and environmental issues
- Implement policies and procedures that ensure regulatory compliance and workplace safety
- Oversee the execution and continuous improvement of occupational health and safety standards
