Job Requirements
- three-plus years of safety management experience
- knowledge of construction and utility safety with high voltage and transmission and distribution
- college degree in a safety-related field
- ability to work outdoors in all reasonable conditions
- proficiency in email correspondence and electronic document development
- ability to create safety-related communications
- ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team
- ability to lead meetings and initiatives
Job Qualifications
- three-plus years of safety management experience
- experience in construction or utility safety particularly high voltage, transmission and distribution, and substations
- a college degree in a safety-related field
- proficiency in email correspondence and electronic document development
- ability to create safety communications such as bulletins and alerts
- skilled in navigating new computer software and applications
- strong multitasking abilities
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- leadership skills to drive initiatives and lead meetings
Job Duties
- Implement contractor safety management programs
- complete quality safety observations including documentation focusing on leading indicators
- establish, build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
- provide safety leadership for energy delivery projects
- verify compliance with safety policies and legal requirements
- ensure safety requirements are clear to contractors
- represent the utility client in meetings
- prepare clear and concise safety reports
- reinforce safety culture with field crews
- adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures
