Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in restaurant management or related field
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial plans
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Availability to respond to emergencies and perform any supervised position if needed

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a general manager in food and beverage
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
  • Experience with inventory control and cost management
  • Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation regulations
  • Proficient in traditional software programs like Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook Express
  • Ability to develop and implement marketing and operational strategies

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and discipline restaurant staff for efficient operation
  • Organize and conduct pre-shift and department meetings communicating pertinent information such as VIPs and menu changes
  • Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments
  • Maximize restaurant department profitability by implementing controls of food, beverage and labor costs and monitoring budgets
  • Maintain par stock levels by calculating inventory, ordering, retrieving and stocking products
  • Develop and implement cost savings and profit enhancement measures
  • Utilize computer systems for charging customers, forecasting, revenue reports and correspondence
  • Monitor food quality and service standards throughout the facility and kitchen
  • Work with the Culinary Development Center to ensure food quality standards
  • Provide guidance for improvements and implement adjustments for consistency
  • Review and evaluate customer satisfaction, recommend and implement operational and marketing policies
  • Ensure compliance with all restaurant policies and local, state, and federal laws
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work and service areas
  • Participate in developing and marketing new menus to attract customers and promote cross-selling
