Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Adhere to and enforce company, local, state, and government regulations
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licensing or work cards
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for duration of shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors and withstand various temperature conditions
  • Ability to work in small access areas
  • Availability to work over 30 hours per week including overtime if approved
  • Ability to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to tolerate environmental factors such as second-hand smoke, noise, strobe lights, and stress in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout scheduled shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Understanding of sanitation and food safety standards
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to learn and follow company policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Ability to maintain professionalism throughout interactions

Job Duties

  • Assist restaurant servers in tasks necessary to maintain their tables and assist their guests throughout the visit
  • Provide friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful service of food and beverage in accordance with established quality and time standards
  • Have complete knowledge of the food and bar menus and understand host and support staff procedures
  • Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and set-up
  • Sanitize tabletops, chairs, and the floor area around them
  • Understand and read food or beverage orders
  • Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards including proper temperature
  • Confirm orders have appropriate preparation, plate/glassware, garnish, presentation, and necessary serving utensils before delivering to guests
  • Announce the name of food and beverages delivered to guests
  • Carry dishes from bars and tables to kitchen dish area
  • Maintain good rapport with front of house and back of house management teams
  • Inform management of complaints, comments, or incidents
  • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in written and verbal forms
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests courteously and knowledgeably
  • Circulate through work areas to maintain line of sight and atmosphere control
  • Keep tabletops, floors, and service areas clear and free of dirty glasses and unnecessary items
  • Keep service station and service equipment storage organized
  • Complete daily, nightly, weekly, and opening, running, and closing duties
  • Clean spills and waste immediately
  • Sweep and mop as needed
  • Anticipate guests' needs and deliver items timely
  • Manage time effectively with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to departmental appearance and uniform standards
  • Follow all company and department policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
