Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year's cleaning or house attendant experience in luxury hotel or resort
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds
- must be able to stand for long periods
- flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- good communication skills in English
- attention to detail and speed
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- knowledge of cleaning equipment and proper chemical handling
- maintain confidentiality of guest information
- no licenses or certifications required
Job Qualifications
- minimum one year's experience as cleaner or house attendant for luxury or ultra-luxury hotel or resort
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- prioritize, organize and follow up
- clear thinker able to remain calm and solve problems using good judgment
- follow directions thoroughly
- understand guest service needs
- work well in a team
- work with minimal supervision
- maintain confidentiality of guest information
- knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling
- required to speak, read and write in English
- fluency in other languages preferred
Job Duties
- maintain guest public areas including restrooms, hallways, service elevators, front desk, pool, rooftop, gym and ensure hotel standards of cleanliness are met
- conduct laundry pressing, shoe cleaning and laundry delivery services
- thoroughly clean, disinfect and restock employee restrooms
- stock guest supplies and linens on floor landings
- assist room attendants with deep cleaning needs and furniture movement
- maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures and cleaning standards
- ensure that cleanliness standards are maintained at a superior level
