Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a job related field
- Two or more years of job related experience or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule to meet department needs
- Strong customer service orientation
- Effective verbal, written, and organizational communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy
- High level of discretion
- Willingness to supervise and mentor others
Job Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience or equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and experience
- Experience working in a university setting with activities and event planning
- Knowledge of event planning software
- Understanding of student development theory
- Verbal, written and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and concurrent requests with high accuracy
- High degree of discretion
- Pending graduates able to obtain degree by employment date will be considered
Job Duties
- Serve as primary scheduler for events and activities which take place in University Union facilities
- Plan and execute event planning functions with clients and campus partners
- Ensure events follow facility policies and appropriate utilization of Russell House
- Supervise the Event Reservation Specialist Team by reviewing, processing, and managing all event requests
- Coordinate with internal teams to confirm space availability and secure necessary resources such as equipment and technical support
- Plan and execute departmental events for students alongside campus stakeholders and partners
- Develop associated budgets and manage expenditures and revenue streams
- Partner and collaborate with key campus offices to support an inclusive Student Life environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
