Job Requirements
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
- ability to converse comfortably with customers
- ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
- ability to bend, twist and stand for normal job functions
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- ability to drive a truck safely where applicable
- may require a valid driver’s license and good driving record as demonstrated by a DMV printout
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous warehouse or inventory management experience preferred
- ability to operate a forklift or relevant warehouse equipment a plus
- strong attention to detail and accuracy
- basic computer skills including inventory management software
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work well in a team environment
- understanding of safety protocols and procedures
- valid driver’s license with good driving record (if driving tasks applicable)
Job Duties
- Verify shipping records and correct packaging and labeling
- unpack received goods and check for damage and accuracy of shipment
- work with materials transport companies
- provide excellent service to internal and external customers in receiving, processing and distributing merchandise and supplies
- comply with delivery schedules
- accurately and efficiently process deliveries
- execute ticketing processes according to company standards
- stock shipments
- pull, prepare and process daily orders according to store requisitions
- review orders for accuracy
- utilize computer systems to manage inventory
- transport orders and returns between warehouse and stores
- identify damaged and expired products
- implement product rotation based on code dates
- follow security and safety procedures
- assist in maintenance responsibilities and activities in warehouse
- maintain fixtures and equipment storage
- assist with bin location upkeep and physical inventory process
- maintain HACCP charts and walk-in coolers and freezers where applicable
