Job Requirements
- Must be at least twenty-one years of age
- Must have and maintain a valid food handlers certification for the state of Indiana
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications as per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission
- Must successfully pass background check
- Must successfully pass drug screening
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends as well as flexible shifts
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of fine-dining or elevated lounge environment food service experience preferred
- Excellent menu knowledge including ingredients and preparation methods
- Excellent multitasking and prioritizing skills
- Knowledge of table service procedures and etiquette for fine dining
- Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
- Ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and professionalism
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and guests
- Ability to operate machines and equipment including beverage dispensers, coffee and espresso machines, bread warmers, dishwashers, and carts
- Ability to work as part of a team in a high-volume environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Knowledge of Player's Club marketing
- Food handlers certification for the state of Indiana
Job Duties
- Participate in all elements of service including duties that are the primary responsibility of support positions including pre-bussing, clearing tables, resetting tables, pouring water, running beverages
- Describe each dish as it is served to the table stating the name of the dish and two notable ingredients
- Ensure sequence of service is followed for all guests including proper plate presentation and course delivery
- Create an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana for gaming entertainment and act as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service
- Provide superior guest service, positively affect interactions with guests and team members and manage difficult guests
- Maintain a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance while carrying out duties with attention to sanitation and safety
- Anticipate, identify, and provide for guest needs
- Perform inventories and other assigned duties
- Receive clean china, silverware and glassware from dishwashers to polish and stock
- Quickly deliver food from the kitchen to guests as instructed by management and chefs
- Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to guest needs
- Assist bussers in setting tables with clean dishes, glasses, and flatware according to approved fine dining procedures
- Assist with duties at special events or parties including carving, cooking, setup, and teardown
- Communicate effectively and professionally with the culinary team to maximize guest satisfaction
- Prepare and serve nonalcoholic beverages including soda, juice, tea, coffee, and espresso beverages
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing of work and public spaces
- Perform work regularly and predictably
- Other duties as assigned
