Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Azul Hospitality standards
  • regular attendance in conformance with the standards established by Azul Hospitality
  • ability to work in moderate to extreme temperature conditions including freezers and kitchens
  • ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
  • ability to maneuver in limited space and reach other departments on a timely basis
  • ability to lift trays of food or items weighing up to 30 lbs occasionally
  • ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs frequently
  • ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally
  • possess manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
  • ability to talk, listen, and see continuously in the process of communicating with guests and coworkers

Job Qualifications

  • High school completion or equivalent
  • one to three years food service experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required
  • California RBS Certification
  • good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • basic computational ability
  • knowledge of table and bar service
  • knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • ability to describe all menu items and methods of preparation
  • knowledge of and ability to operate all equipment related to the outlet including coffee maker and cash terminals
  • knowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations

Job Duties

  • Deliver food to guests dining in restaurant
  • ensure guest satisfaction with their food
  • ensure serve corridor safety by transporting all equipment in the proper manner
  • replenish guest water
  • make and pour coffee
  • clear tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware
  • clean tables, chairs and floor area
  • reset table quickly
  • restock busing stations regularly polishing silverware, folding napkins, and stocking with China, glassware, ice and clearing trays
  • assist service team as necessary to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • be responsible for handling of all equipment and linens
  • ensure that all spills and breakage are attended to immediately and proper safety procedures are followed
  • responsible for the proper handling of all food and equipment
  • all other duties assigned by Restaurant Managers and Supervisors
