Job Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
- maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Azul Hospitality standards
- regular attendance in conformance with the standards established by Azul Hospitality
- ability to work in moderate to extreme temperature conditions including freezers and kitchens
- ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
- ability to maneuver in limited space and reach other departments on a timely basis
- ability to lift trays of food or items weighing up to 30 lbs occasionally
- ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs frequently
- ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally
- possess manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
- ability to talk, listen, and see continuously in the process of communicating with guests and coworkers
Job Qualifications
- High school completion or equivalent
- one to three years food service experience preferred
- Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required
- California RBS Certification
- good communication skills, both verbal and written
- basic computational ability
- knowledge of table and bar service
- knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- ability to describe all menu items and methods of preparation
- knowledge of and ability to operate all equipment related to the outlet including coffee maker and cash terminals
- knowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations
Job Duties
- Deliver food to guests dining in restaurant
- ensure guest satisfaction with their food
- ensure serve corridor safety by transporting all equipment in the proper manner
- replenish guest water
- make and pour coffee
- clear tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware
- clean tables, chairs and floor area
- reset table quickly
- restock busing stations regularly polishing silverware, folding napkins, and stocking with China, glassware, ice and clearing trays
- assist service team as necessary to meet and exceed guest expectations
- be responsible for handling of all equipment and linens
- ensure that all spills and breakage are attended to immediately and proper safety procedures are followed
- responsible for the proper handling of all food and equipment
- all other duties assigned by Restaurant Managers and Supervisors
