Job Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Azul Hospitality standards
  • regular attendance is essential and staff with irregular attendance or tardiness may be subject to disciplinary action
  • must comply with Azul Hospitality rules and regulations
  • must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10F) and kitchens (+110F)
  • must be able to stand and walk for up to four hours
  • must be able to lift trays weighing up to 30 lbs occasionally
  • must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs frequently
  • requires manual dexterity, ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch occasionally
  • must be capable of multitasking in limited spaces and reaching other resort departments on time
  • must be able to communicate continuously with guests and team members
  • must be able to use fingers to pick, pinch, type and carry out substantial wrist and hand movements

Job Qualifications

  • High school completion or equivalent
  • one to three years food service experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required
  • California RBS certification required
  • good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • basic computational ability
  • knowledge of table and bar service
  • knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • ability to describe all menu items and methods of preparation
  • ability to operate equipment related to the outlet including coffee maker and cash terminals
  • knowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations

Job Duties

  • Deliver food to guests dining in restaurant
  • ensure guest satisfaction with their food
  • ensure serve corridor safety by transporting all equipment in the proper manner
  • replenish guest water
  • make and pour coffee
  • clear tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware
  • clean tables, chairs and floor area
  • reset table quickly
  • restock busing stations regularly polishing silverware, folding napkins, and stocking with china, glassware, ice and clearing trays
  • assist service team as necessary to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • be responsible for handling of all equipment and linens
  • ensure that all spills and breakage are attended to immediately and proper safety procedures are followed
  • responsible for the proper handling of all food and equipment
  • perform all other duties assigned by restaurant managers and supervisors
