Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or related field preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Must be punctual and reliable

Job Duties

  • Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift
  • Run food from the kitchen and deliver food to guests' tables in timely manner
  • Assist with preparing appetizers and assist sous chefs with other food prep
  • Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring crudite, water and bread to the tables
  • Clear table after guests leave, take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
  • Between seatings, promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop
  • Respond immediately and appropriately to guest requests. Communicate these requests to server immediately
  • Communicate with server, host and Maitre' D to assure efficient seating, table utilization and guest service
  • Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with larger parties and peak periods
  • Thank guests as they are leaving
  • Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness and immaculate uniform presentation
  • Be a team player
  • help out fellow staff whenever possible
