Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 6 months of related cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
  • Ability to complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional interaction skills with guests and team members
  • Availability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including nights, mornings, weekends, holidays
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3 to 6 months of related cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to successfully achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
  • Ability to successfully complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
  • Ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to interact with guests and team members professionally
  • Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment while performing job duties
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Perform basic to intermediate food preparation and cooking duties including washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring ingredients
  • Prepare salads and cold foods
  • Fry, stock, and batch cook
  • Assemble, garnish, and finalize presentation of completed dishes
  • Use and clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils including ovens, grills, fryers, broilers, and knives safely
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment working closely with stewards
  • Learn to perform more advanced kitchen and cooking duties and assist other members of the culinary team
  • Assist in storing and rotating all inventories as needed
  • Perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • Work at other kitchens or venues as assigned based on business needs
  • Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
