This job opening is with a restaurant or kitchen-based establishment looking to hire a dishwasher. Dishwashers play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service. Job Requirements
- Able to withstand peak hour volume
- able to communicate and work with both back and front of house
- prior restaurant and/or dishwasher experience preferred
- physical ability to stand, climb, balance, squat or kneel occasionally
- ability to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds
- vision capabilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment
- knowledge of proper lifting, pushing and pulling techniques

- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in restaurant or dishwasher role preferred
- ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with kitchen and front of house staff

Job Duties
- Wash all utensils, pots, grills, dirty dishes and bowls by hand and dishwasher
- knowledge of proper detergent and disinfectant use
- ensure kitchen floors are always dry and hazard-free
- transfer clean utensils, pots, grills, dishes and bowls to dry
- ensure kitchen equipment is thoroughly cleaned and detailed regularly
- empty trash cans regularly and clean and dry them
- replace trash can liners daily
- wash trash bins with hose daily and let dry overnight
- install disinfectant buckets and towels
- dismantle and clean dishwasher machine
- sweep and mop floors in dishwashing area
- clean walls with disinfectant
- clean stove rings including scraping off large residues, cleaning corners with electric drill, scrubbing with metal scrubber, and placing rings on racks in dishwasher
- prepare mist tank
- break down and discard boxes
- perform other assigned functions
