Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred or any other combination of education, experience, and training
- Knowledge of large quantity food preparation and health department standards of sanitary food practices
- Valid Colorado driver’s license
- Ability to work varied hours at multiple sites
- Physical ability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and standing
- Commitment to safety and compliance with health regulations
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of large quantity food preparation and health department standards of sanitary food practices
- Ability to operate institutional kitchen equipment safely
- Familiarity with federal, state, and department food service guidelines
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexibly at various assigned school sites
- Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Perform various functions related to the preparation and serving of food in a school environment
- Maintain clean and sanitary equipment and facilities
- Prepare meals following standardized recipes
- Adjust quantities of ingredients to meet proper food amounts
- Portion food correctly to meet federal, state and departmental guidelines
- Serve customers and maintain an orderly food service line
- Operate kitchen equipment used for food preparation or cleaning
- Wash serving trays, utensils, dishes, and pans
- Clean and sanitize kitchen work area and equipment
- Assist in stocking storage areas following the First In First Out (FIFO) procedure
- Assist in taking inventory of food and non-food supplies
- Accurately record food quantities on production worksheets
- Ensure safety and sanitation protocols are followed
- Attend training programs and workshops as needed
